I’ve tried using Clickbank many times but never make enough sales to get past the threshold. I always lost the commissions through a monthly charge. This took any income to zero. After doing this a few time I gave up and use resell rights products or jvzoo now instead. I’ll try again (one day).

The biggest reason why so many people decide to promote Clickbank products is the huge commission payouts, as it’s not uncommon for affiliates to earn 50% – 75%+ commission per sale. Because the products sold there are mostly digital guides, books, videos or tutorials, the sellers have very low associated costs with the reselling of such materials and therefore are able to price their products fairly low and still make a profit after giving the 50%-75% commissions to affiliates plus the costs of any fees taken by Clickbank.

I think a lot of the confusion and complaints come from people who don’t pay attention to the individual seller’s return policy or they don’t know how to request a refund with Clickbank. I’ve had countless people come to me asking how to get their money back with products they bought with Clickbank, even though that should be information made clear to them when they purchased the product.

Clickbank is a great place to start if you are new to marketing, whether it will be as an affiliate or a Vendor. Affiliates should always make a point to do some decent research on the products that they plan to promote. Use the statistics that are available to you and browse around Google to find out if the product has a good or bad reputation.

While free promotional methods such as search engine optimization (SEO) and social media can eventually lead to lots of traffic, beginner affiliates will likely not drive much traffic from these methods until they’ve had time to build up their efforts, reputation, and search engine rankings.

I take the view that if the vendor is now trying to tell me that the thing he just told me was so wonderful is suddenly no good unless I spend more money then it had either better be as good as he told me it was two minutes ago, or I always have the option of a refund. That said, i don’t buy anything with the intention of refunding it, but I don’t read the OTO.

I too have had a foray into clickbank. It is great but probably the only drawback I’ve had with it is that its extremely competitive as it seems to always be promoted to folks starting out with affiliate marketing.

But when you try to buy the same products the money back guarantee will not be there. This is because those advertisers might have been removed or kicked out by Clickbank for some reasons. Therefore, don’t blindly buy Clickbank products without checking the advertiser’s policy and terms that are associated with Clickbank. There are still some fake advertisers promote in the name of Clickbank products too.

A freebie – something of value that you are going to give away to your visitors in exchange for their email address. It is also commonly referred to as an ethical bribe e.g. free report, free video.

The best thing to do is check the “gravity” score of a product. The gravity is essentially a calculation that takes into account how many different affiliates have made a sale in this product in the past 8 weeks; the higher the number the better. Our in-house affiliate expert Mark Ling recommends that you always aim for a gravity of at least 30. In addition to the gravity, there are a number of other statistics for each product – these are;

Christene this is s concise, succinct description of the Clickbank system. I was wondering though- how common is it to be both a vendor and an affiliate ? I have been exploring/researching this online business model for what seems like an eternity and need to be mindful of information overload. So many of the ‘authorities’ out there distribute the exact same info wrapped in various styles of ‘wrapping paper’ but with the same goal of enticing you into one of their ‘make you a millionaire’ training courses, to be honest I’ve become quite cynical and – need I say – suspicious ??? You never hear about any of their sign ups that “failed” at whatever genre they were promoting – only the success stories. For me, I would give more credibility to someone who was prepared to show the ‘real/honest’ side of these courses/workshops/programmes that they all so brilliantly offer. Is there ANYWHERE that statistics or even some form of research findings could be viewed that more realistically present the success/failure rate of people who try their hand at different methods of making money on line ? Christ, sorry ’bout that- sort of went off into a tangent there. With any luck you’ll be able to make some sort of sense out of what I’ve been attempting to say ???

Clickbanks tracking works off of cookies. If I have paid for a CPA to happen and the CPA has cost me hard earned cash. And let’s say a customer comes to my site and buys a Clickbank product from my site.

I have been given guidance previously in what to look for in promoting a product sponsored by one of Clickbank’s vendors. I was told that you especially have to pay attention to a vendor’s product “gravity” rating. This statistic provides much needed insight on exactly successful affiliates have been in actually selling the particular product of that vendor within a recent time period.

Gravity: This number represents a unique calculation by ClickBank that takes into account the number of different affiliates who earned a commission by promoting this product over the past 12 weeks. Since more recent transactions are given a higher value, this number can give you an idea of what products are “hot” at the moment, in terms of being promoted by many affiliates and making a good number of sales. However, high gravity can also indicate that there will be a lot of competition in promoting this product.

It should be noted that to achieve your first payment you need to make at least 5 sales, just 2 or 3 sales and you won’t be paid. In addition these sales should be made using at least 2 of the following payment methods:

As a very experienced over-buyer of over-hyped ‘money-making whizz-bangs’ with unlimited useless upsells I have to conclude that, in a hype-oriented market [eg make money online] then scams are to be expected – often.

You should aim for products with a reasonable rate of commission, no lower than 40% say, to make your efforts worthwhile. Be aware that ClickBank deducts transaction fees from a sale: here is a calculator showing the actual commission paid.

I’ve had a few experiences with ClickBank, none of them very good. My biggest complaint is their system doesn’t accept regular credit cards. Every time I’ve tried ordering, it always says the credit card has denied the charge. I then go through PayPal and the same credit card is accepted. I finally realized why… credit card companies recognize that ClickBank is disreputable, whereas they’ll accept a charge from PayPal.

First Thing, You need to do is sign up with ClickBank and get an affiliate ID. If you already have an affiliate ID then you’re already ahead of the game and you don’t need to sign up again. When signing up you want to make sure you have a professional sounding name. Nothing against “babygal321” or “realslimshady21” but it doesn’t exactly scream “My ClickBank Product is Respectable and you should promote it” does it? Remember, people are giving you their Credit Card information so you want to do everything you can to make them feel comfortable doing so.

I purchased an E.book only to find they took x5 payments for 1 sold item! I didn’t even receive the 1 item. Paypal created a fraud case and won all my money back. £170 later. Please be warned. DO NOT TOUCH CLICKBANK.

Yeah that is the same for me, I have never really used Clickbank at all because my websites either didn’t fit in with Clickbank’s products at all… or I just couldn’t find any I felt comfortable promoting. There are OK products out there but it is hard to find them, especially in this niche (“make money online”).

In short, it’s a huge library of ebooks, software and other digital goods. It contains thousands of products that you are free to promote as a ClickBank affiliate. The vast majority of ClickBank Vendors pay a commission of 50% and 75% on the sale price of their products.
