ClickBank is a privately held Internet retailer of both physical and digital products. ClickBank was founded in 1998. The company has more than six-million clients worldwide which secured it in becoming the 87th largest Internet retailer in North America. ClickBank is a subsidiary of Keynetics Inc., one of Idaho’s largest privately held technology companies. The company has headquarters in Boise, Idaho, and offices in Broomfield, Colorado.
Clickbank is such a huge market place with both good and really bad products all mixed together, unfortunately it is a struggle to find such programs. The best they cover, are the stats below each product to give you an idea how popular a program is and the average sale that one can expect to make.
I HATE CLICKBANK BECAUSE IT CHARGES VAT/ TVA/ BTW, value added tax, which is illegal! For when I purchase from the USAetc. my country does not deserve to be payed Value Added Tax. And Clickbank is the traitor who takes my money to give it to the worst enemy of the people: our governments. They all deserve hell fro their crimes against humanity!
If you already have an affiliate account you’ll remember that it is free to sign up as an affiliate, but as a publisher ClickBank does charge you a fee of $49.95. While I know most people look to avoid fees wherever possible this is just a cost of doing business and there really is no way around it. In the grand scheme of things, being able to promote your product on ClickBank with its Millions of Affiliates, $49.95 and $1 + 7.5% from each sale is just a drop in the bucket.

I always recommend to affiliates that they should review and truly believe in any product they promote. Otherwise you stand to lose trust from your audience or even potentially get in legal hot water if you’re making improper claims about a product you’re promoting. Pat Flynn from Smart Passive Income has written some great blog posts on this topic—I highly recommend checking them out.
I have been an inventor [Eng. Sc. D in metallurgical engineering) for as long as I can remember. Before I officially retired (in 2010 – I’m now 73), I accumulated 8 patents (all of which were assigned to my employers).

Lusk Street, Suite 200, Boise Idaho, 83706, USA This company promised a 7 day evaluation which was not given. Britany at Clickbank ignored this promise on the clickbank cancelation website. Earn cash yearly ignored Googles policy that the content must be relevant to the domain. I requested both from yearlycash.com and clickbank that they cancel the $49 payment before the trial ended which was ignored by both. not given Internet
I have bought some of the product you reference, $37.00 for a one click system, not thinking that it was true but a source of information to learn IM. When i receive/download the product and informed that to really be successful I should buy other software products I immediately request a refund. Clickbank is told the reason that the vendor is wanting to upsell. To this date Clickbank has given me the refund.

In order to help other people understand the truth about a product listed on the ClickBank marketplace, you have to learn all the details. It is tempting to write a bunch of content about product just for the sake of having more content, but in order to gain the trust of potential clients, it’s essential to demonstrate your knowledge.

I am cautious about purchasing a product with clickbank as you must agree for future charges on your account that you pay with. It appears to open the door for the vendor to continue to charge my account. The payment page was also flagged as risky with the filters on my work computer.

You need to be informed. Selling Clickbank products as an affiliate is not as easy as “finding a high gravity product and placing some ads” in my experience. Yes, that can happen occasionally but there is no formula that guarantees success every time. If there were then everyone would be succeeding, and we know that is not the case.
Grav: Is short for Gravity. This figure is a performance statistic calculated using the number of affiliates who have achieved sales of a product during the past 12 weeks. The gravity number can give you a good idea of the products that are selling well. A high gravity will also mean that there will be many affiliates promoting the product. You should always aim for a gravity of at least 30.
Very informative posts Gael. I made some of my first money online using ClickBank. It wasn’t as difficult as some may think. Consistency is key though. I got some golden nuggets in the post when it comes to increasing your sales. I haven’t used retargeting before, but I hear it works. May be something I try very soon.
The next thing you want to take a look at is the bottom of the page. At the bottom of almost every page for Clickbank products, whether it’s a video sales letter like this or more of a text-based sales letter like this, there’s usually a little affiliates link. Basically, that’s a link to a number of affiliate resources that help you promote the product. You want to look for that, and then click on the link if it’s there. You want to take a look at basically what they offer you; so whether it is some banners to help you out, whether it’s a dedicated affiliate manager. If they make you sign up, you usually don’t have to do that. They usually have this ‘Already a member? Click here’, and you can just click on that and get access to the resources right away. In some cases, they have contest like this, and a lot of times they actually offer you a lot of things that can help you, like swipes and banners. Just look for things like banners, or creatives as they’re often called, and just take a look at them and see if they would be a good fit for your site. If not, no big deal; you can always go to Fiverr and get a banner made pretty cheaply. In general, I’ve found the more stuff that they give you to help you promote their product, the better, especially because when you’re first stating out, you don’t really know whether or not this is going to go well. It helps if they give you a quick banner that you can just throw up on your site to test the waters and see how well it converts on your site. If you see that they give you a lot of support in terms of creatives, then that’s a good sign that they’re going to be helpful when you actually sign up as an affiliate. Even if you don’t see a lot of banners, it’s not a deal-breaker; it’s just something that helps make the process of promoting that product a bit easier.
I have never been an affiliate on Clickbank but we have 2 products, both with upsells, on Clickbank right now. As a matter of fact I had to make a couple of changes to some text on one of the sales pages to make Clickbank happy the other day. They were concerned not about what I said but how someone MIGHT take it. It was an easy fix and it made everything perfectly clear to anyone viewing the sales page. Since we had nothing to hide I had no problem making the change.

@GRANT: You’re right that Clickbank often draws a lot of newbies, so there may be a lot of people promoting the same product as you – however because they’re all newbies you will find it won’t be too hard to beat them – particularly as most of them won’t have Affilorama’s training material to fall back on!

Most ClickBank product review websites I’ve visited are essentially duplicating the content of the product sales page, which is always full of extremely unrealistic expectations and testimonials that present the item as better than it truly is. Be sincere with your buyers in all regards, give them beneficial information about what to expect, and people far more likely to buy from you.
I have tried to order at least ten orders but the ClickBank keeps asking for me to use another card. I have complied but the bank won’t even accept another card. I contacted them via phone but the bank refused to remedy my problem. I want the vendor to be aware that they are losing customers.
If you don’t make sales for 90 days, your account will be charged $1/day, $5/day after 180 days and $50/day after 1 year of inactivity. (The money is taken out of your affiliate earnings, though. They don’t bill you such fees if you have an account with $0 balance).
hey thanks for the review.. but there is something i didn’t understand . is CBU focusing only for vendors.. which to make a product and to sell it ? what about to sell other products ? so if i wanna be an affilliate only, CBU is not good for me ?
WARNING This scared the shit out of me. Don’t Buy into this Scam: ClickBank Affiliate Marketing Review Scam. Take Surveys for Cash Crap. Watch the video on what I bought and what happened afterword’s, the worst boiler room pressure scare tactics I’ve ever seen. In fact, I’m going to check my credit rating today to ensure fake credit cards are not being made in my name by scam artists. PLEASE SHARE so others don’t become prey.
If you are not sure what you would like to find in the ClickBank Marketplace, then you could just hit the search button without selecting any options or entering any keywords. This way, all availiable products will be shown with the most popular products being displayed at the top of the page. Or else, you might choose to browse the clickbank products instead.
The difficulty with calling these products scams is that they aren’t really that at all. It’s not like you’re going to pay and then see your credit card being used in a dive bar in Cambodia or something – CB’s payment processing system truly does safeguard you to a large extent. No matter what you purchase, you’re going to get something.
I’m being charged a fee for not having sales during the time that they erroneously removed my account. And I can’t even talk to a real person about it. I can’t even weasel my way in for another department. I pushed every number for every option, and each one has the same woman’s voice saying, “I’m sorry, ____ support is not currently available”
